Empowering educators to empower students! What better way to kick off the week than by welcoming 25 amazing teachers from the Ferguson-Florissant School District for a Teacher Externship Day at Clayco! Through engaging keynotes and hands-on department tours, educators received a behind-the-scenes look at careers in construction, architecture, engineering, and technology. They also explored how impactful programs like CCDI and Beyond the Bell provide students with paid internships, mentorship, scholarships, and clear pathways to long-term career success. Why does this matter? Because teachers are powerful connectors. When educators are equipped with real-world insights and resources, they can inspire their students to dream bigger—and connect them with life-changing opportunities designed specifically for them. A huge thank-you to the speakers who generously shared their time, expertise, and passion: 🔹 Dan Lester Sr., ECMCA – Diversity in Construction & Future Workforce 🔹 Sandra Marks – Clayco Rising & ESG Initiatives 🔹 Rachel Boemer – CCDI Programs & Scholarships 🔹 Brian Williams - Community Impact & Educational Partners 🔹 Trish Marcano-Henderson– Beyond the Bell Mentorship 🔹 Branyea (Bran-Yay) Jones, MBA – Talent Development 🔹 Darriell J. & Jesse Sanders – Information Technology 🔹 Jasmine Daniel – Corporate Recruiting 🔹 Lela Sperling, Lucy Goldman, NCIDQ & Nic Smith – LJC Architecture 🔹 Andrew Howe & David Mills – Clayco Design Engineering (CDE) Your insight is helping build bridges between the classroom and the real world—and we’re so grateful. Special shoutout to Bradley C. Johnson for coordinating the day and always going above and beyond to make meaningful connections happen.
