Together, they unpacked the mental health challenges that shape modern life and explored how identity and marginalization influence feelings of isolation. Drawing on their unique expertise, each speaker offered nuanced and expansive insights that captured the complexity of both our digital and in-person worlds.     Our VP of Operations & People, Erin Shoji, recently spoke at Harvard Business School’s Future of Work Club to discuss a topic that’s shaping the modern workplace: romantic relationships at work, specifically looking at new types of relationship types outside of monogamy. From polyamory to open relationships, the way people connect is changing—and so is the conversation around how workplaces can foster inclusivity, transparency, and policies to reflect these shifts. Erin joined Paul Keable, Stacey Follon, Noah Krigel for a thoughtful discussion on what this means for HR, leadership, and company culture. Some key takeaways from the panel: 1️⃣ HR policies are outdated. Erin emphasized that the future of HR should focus on consent and communication to support all relationship structures. 2️⃣ Workplace relationships are inevitable. Instead of rigid rules, the onus is on leaders to foster open dialogue and an interactive approach to navigate them responsibly. As relationships evolve, so must the workplace.     Our very own founder and CEO Ana Kirova will be moderating the panel “Fighting Loneliness in Our Digital World” at SXSW with musical artist Kesha, poet-comedian-speaker-actor ALOK and mental health educator Minaa B. Depending on the generation, anywhere between 1–3 out of 4 people report feeling lonely and disconnected sometimes or always. This panel will bring together experts from psychology, social activism, relationship dynamics, and mental health advocacy—alongside their personal experiences—to explore the complex roots of disconnection and the ways forward. Despite being in the loneliness epidemic, we’re primed for intentional and meaningful connection—if given spaces that encourage curiosity to foster that connection.
