Our three-tier screening process includes: 🔸 In-depth conversations. Our Associates spend two hours on average with each candidate, assessing their interest, trajectory, acumen, and fit with the role.   🔸 Objective testing. Every candidate completes The Crucible, Falcon’s assessment of choice, to capture key data points and surface potential fit risks that aren’t always evident in interviews.  🔸  Senior team evaluation.     How are portco executives thinking about M&A in 2025? We recently surveyed our 42,000-member PrivateEquityCXO community to uncover how executives view inorganic growth right now. Here’s what we found: 🔸 M&A remains sluggish in the PE-backed mid-market. Nearly half (47.4%) of surveyed portfolio company leaders haven't completed an add-on in the past year, and only 21.1% have completed two or more.  🔸 Exit timelines are stretching. 53% of executives reported that their exit horizons are being extended.  🔸 Integration remains the biggest challenge. 43% of executives cited post-acquisition integration as the most difficult aspect of M&A.   🔸 Despite the hurdles, optimism is high. 78% of executives are confident about their inorganic growth prospects over the next 12 months. What this means for you: 💡 Sponsors: Encourage management teams to take a proactive approach to M&A as a value creation lever. Help deal teams cultivate acquisition targets, maintain transparency around extended exit horizons, and consider retention strategies like additional compensation or MIP units to keep top leaders engaged. Tap into M&A enthusiasm by offering training and integration support.  💡 Executives: Take an active role in M&A by working closely with your deal team to cultivate targets. This includes evaluating your competition and ideal exit strategy to identify potential acquisitions. Lay the groundwork by making calls and building relationships directly from the management team. And if integration support is needed, ask your sponsor — having the right resources in place can make all the difference.
