The #FairfaxCounty Health Department’s 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙚𝙘𝙝 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 is designed to help school-aged children continue building their communication skills, so they don’t lose momentum during the break. Students receive 6 weekly sessions of 1-on-1 speech therapy based on their IEP. Our School Bus Safety Program is now live. Warnings will be issued to drivers who fail to stop for school buses that are loading or unloading children. Starting in May, drivers who pass a bus with its stop arm extended will be fined $250. Let’s work together to keep our children safe.
