MEETING REPORTER: I just returned from my first Outliers Meeting in Nashville—and now I understand why this event is gaining so much traction. Now in its fourth year, Outliers is unlike any other meeting I’ve attended. What stood out immediately was the focus on topics that often get overlooked at the larger conferences—things like: ✅ Enhancing the patient experience ✅ Integrating advanced technology in meaningful ways ✅ Driving profitability without compromising care These are real-world, practice-level conversations that make a difference—and they were front and center all weekend. What made it even better? Hearing directly from passionate, forward-thinking doctors and practice leaders who were generous with their insights and eager to share what’s working for them. Thanks to Robert F. I Melendez, MD, MBA and Josh for creating such a high-value experience for me. #ophthalmology

  • MEETING REPORTER AGS 2025: Nathan Radcliffe reports from AGS 2025 on a game-changing development in #glaucoma care – the Iantrek CycloPen™. Dr. Robert Weinreb presented data on a new study involving 51 patients with medically uncontrolled glaucoma. The study reported a 40% reduction in intraocular pressure (IOP) and a 41% reduction in medication use, maintained over 12 months. The biocompatible approach demonstrated excellent safety and efficacy, with impressive IOP reduction in refractory patients. The Iantrek CycloPen™ system has shown promising results through two years of data, providing an innovative interventional option for glaucoma patients, particularly those not yet ready for incisional surgeries. This early intervention can play a vital role in slowing disease progression and meeting the needs of approximately 2.5 million glaucoma patients. #aao #ascrs #escrs #glaucomasurgery #eyedoc #optomotry #ophthalmology #eyenewsmedia
