Kent County residents Matt Kolenda and Maria Orr played key roles in bringing the American Glass Guild (AGG) conference to Grand Rapids in July 2024! Experience Grand Rapids supported their efforts by offering resources and assistance, which helped convince the AGG Board to choose Grand Rapids. The city’s appeal and EXGR’s support impressed the board, leading to a successful event. The Grand Rapids Art Museum also collaborated with AGG to host a special exhibition. Kolenda and Orr expressed pride in showcasing their city and appreciated EXGR’s help in organizing the event.
