From weekend respites to mental health support and community events, they pour everything into helping parents and guardians of children with disabilities or life-threatening conditions to recharge and feel valued. We were so proud to join iHeartMedia in celebrating their incredible work with the iHeartIMPACT Award at the International Taste Festival in Syracuse! Thank you, David’s Refuge, for being a light in our community.

An issue critical enough to bring both sides of the aisle together has been reintroduced in Congress. Bipartisan legislation to protect healthcare for hundreds of thousands of older adults in our community also has the support of regional, nonprofit health plans. Learn more.

Kelly has been an invaluable and beloved member of our Utica Region Regional Advisory Board since 2023, and we are indebted to her for her unique insights and strong community-minded focus. Childbirth can carry risks to mom and baby, but for minority women, it can be life-threatening. Crouse Health’s "Standing in the Gap" project, in partnership with Doula 4 A Queen LLC, aims to improve maternal health by working with doulas in our local community. We are proud to support the project with a Health Equity Innovation Award and enjoyed joining them last week to celebrate Black Doula Day!

Supporting the needs of our local community is essential to our mission. Just last month, more than 150 hot meals and sandwiches were prepared at the ROAD TO EMMAUS MINISTRY OF SYRACUSE INC by our employees who volunteered their time at this comprehensive, faith-based, volunteer outreach ministry. As our team in Central New York provided drinks and distributed food during the meal service, they witnessed the positive impact Emmaus Ministry has on people’s lives. We thank this organization for the opportunity to support their meaningful work.
