In this recent article from Advanced Manufacturing, industry experts explore how imaging is driving innovation on the shop floor. We're proud to share that John Legleu of Exact Metrology: A Division of In-Place Machining Company, contributed his insights on the evolving role of CT scanning and digital imaging in industrial applications. #QualityTesting #ImagingInnovation #ManufacturingTechnology #Metrology #AdvancedManufacturing #IndustrialInspection #PrecisionMatters
#Industrial CT scanning has become the de facto standard for qualifying all manner of critical 3D-printed parts, especially those used in the #aerospace industry. The development is largely due to better #software tools, like those of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, “These tools do much of the legwork needed to look through thousands of images, find defects, measure parts and perform related #metrology tasks that once took hours and hours of manual work," says John Legleu of Exact Metrology: A Division of In-Place Machining Company. "And since the software’s mostly automated, you can tailor how it searches for defects and turn it loose on multiple jobs at once. It’s a huge timesaver."
