In partnership with Mayor Muriel Bowser, Events DC will fund 11 events totaling $3.5 million as part of the Large Event Grant Program! 👏 The Large Event Grant Program, managed by Events DC, supports Washington, DC's cultural and economic vitality by providing grant funding to nonprofit organizations hosting events with more than 10,000 people in attendance. "Through the Large Event Grant Program, we will support even more remarkable events this year that build community connections, celebrate our distinctive culture and contribute to our local economy," said Events DC President and CEO Angie M. Events DC Executive Vice President Dr. Steven G. Johnson and Vice President of Sales Stacey Knoppel attended the Community Culinary dinner at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School! The entire meal was created, made and served by students enrolled in the school. The evening was an opportunity for the students to practice their culinary skills with invited business and community members. The Carlos Rosario School is the first adult public charter school in the nation that serves 2,900 students annually, across two campuses.
