The Gold Key Awards are the "Oscars" of San Diego's hospitality community. Whether it's through their welcoming spirit, creative problem-solving, or skillful handling of guest issues, our team members bring the magic of hospitality to life every day. Evans Hotels proudly announces six team members from The Lodge at Torrey Pines, the Bahia Resort Hotel, and the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, have been nominated for these prestigious awards. With hundreds of amazing hospitality professionals in our organization, narrowing the field down was no easy task! These six live and breathe hospitality and do amazing work for our community. We look forward to celebrating them on the big day, February 28th.

This week, the San Diego Business Journal announced the 2024 SD500, recognizing San Diego’s most influential leaders. We are proud to celebrate Anne L. Evans, Chair Emeritus, and Robert Gleason, President & CEO of Evans Hotels, for earning this distinguished honor. Anne’s leadership over 30 years expanded Evans Hotels to include the Bahia Resort Hotel, Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, and The Lodge at Torrey Pines, solidifying her legacy as a pioneer in hospitality. In 2024, she was inducted into the San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame. Robert’s journey from reservations agent to CEO exemplifies dedication and leadership. Appointed in 2014, he continues to shape Evans Hotels’ success while serving on the California Travel and Tourism Commission board. Congratulations to Anne and Robert on this well-deserved recognition!

Evans Hotels’ associates from the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, Bahia Resort Hotel, and The Lodge at Torrey Pines joined forces with the Mission Beach Town Council and other good neighbors to cleanup Belmont Park Beach.
