Introducing Leonidas H2O: a high-energy, high-power microwave system, validated in DoD testing to disable boat motors and drones. Built using the scalable Leonidas HPM technology platform, Leonidas H2O disabled all vessel motors it was tested against at operationally relevant ranges during the US Navy's Advanced Naval Technology Exercise. “The Department of Defense has spent years of research and development and poured tens-of-millions of dollars into developing a non-kinetic vessel stop solution, with no operational system deployed to date. With Leonidas H2O, we are bringing forth a proven technology with demonstrated effectiveness to fill this capability gap, today." - Epirus CEO Andy Lowery.

Over 1,000 drone incursions cross our southern border every month—most operated by cartels for smuggling and surveillance. These threats are real, persistent, and growing. Yet current laws tie the hands of even our military. It's time to rethink defense. Energy-based, high-power microwave systems, like ours, can stop drone threats instantly, WITHOUT kinetic force or collateral damage. Glad to see U.S. Air Force Gen. Gregory Guillot calling for the authority—and the capability—to meet this moment.

"Move fast, kill things?" The Guardian explores the evolution of the defense industrial base and the rise of Silicon Valley-esque companies disrupting defense tech with machine learning, autonomy and "futuristic weapons." (Hint: AI-enabled microwave forcefields).   The rapid tempo of technology development in the U.S. is running laps around the pace of policy planning and DoD's overly prescriptive procurement cycles. "The industry is 'emerging fast in the outside world, but not so fast in terms of budgetary reassignment', notes Andy Lowery, chief executive of Epirus."   Our message is clear—let the most effective technology (not lobbying budget) win. https://lnkd.in/gKNefaVq

🎙️ Fresh off our Series D raise, CEO Andy Lowery joined CNBC's Manifest Space podcast with Morgan Brennan for a deep-dive into our plans to hyperscale manufacturing and our vision for a new short range air defense architecture, with Epirus high-energy HPM as an integral component of a defense-in-depth strategy. Our dual-use, software-enabled hardware systems are how we engineer victory and build a stronger, more agile U.S. defense industrial base. Give the pod a listen at the link in comments to learn more.

We're back and better than ever on Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies list. "Stopping swarms of weaponized drones is a high priority in the Pentagon’s vision for future war. Epirus has spent the past few years developing that future with Leonidas, a microwave weapon capable of disabling approaching drones invisibly and instantly for as little as five cents per takedown. While many counter-drone systems work by targeting individual drones, Leonidas’s high-powered microwaves act more like a shield or force field that can knock out a skyful of robots."

🚨 Epirus x Palantir Technologies 🚨 We’ve joined the second cohort of Palantir’s Warp Speed Program, a manufacturing OS for American re-industrialization designed to provide speed, flexibility and security for modern industrial production. “Deploying Palantir Warp Speed underscores our commitment to accelerating production capabilities and meeting increasing demand as defense transitions from a ‘1-to-1’ to a ‘1-to-many’ mindset for short-range air defense.” -Epirus CEO Andy Lowery

BREAKING: Today we're announcing a $250 million Series D fundraise to hyperscale Leonidas™ production capability for critical asset protection.   We have arrived at a new era in warfare. Today’s battlefields are littered with thousands of low-cost, highly networked and highly distributed threats, capable of overwhelming traditional defenses through sheer volume and agility.   To keep pace, we must move from a "1 to 1" engagement mindset to "1 to many.”    That's why Epirus built Leonidas™—a solid-state, software-defined, high-energy, high-power microwave technology that delivers unmatched counter-electronics capabilities. Tested and proven as a scalable counter-swarm solution, Leonidas™ features an open architecture, unlimited magazine and demonstrated non-kinetic effects against a range of electronic threats.   The investment will enable Epirus to grow and acquire the best talent, improve supply chain resiliency, upgrade internal systems and processes, expand into international and commercial markets and increase our innovation and manufacturing footprint in the U.S.    The future of defense is here—and we’re building it at scale.

Andy Lowery sat down with Breaking Defense for a deep dive into our high-power microwave technology and the need for DoD to transition to a 'one-to-many' mindset as the rise of unmanned systems continues to skyrocket globally. We have to undergo a paradigm shift in how we approach short range air defense. The days of one threat, one interceptor are long gone. That's why Epirus is focused on "HPM for high-value asset protection, short-range air-defense protection. The ways of protecting our guarded assets now need to evolve because swarms have manifested into the physical realm and are being developed by the Russians, Chinese, and Iranians."
