It’s that time of year again… the WHAT’S SO COOL ABOUT MANUFACTURING? video contest is back for 2025! This week, you'll see many local companies competing for votes, and we’re excited to share that EPD Electronics teamed up with Allegheny Valley School District for this year’s competition. Despite being newcomers to the program, this group of students and their teacher created an impressive video showcasing the world of contract manufacturing at EPD Electronics. We love this contest because it’s an incredible way to introduce students to the many career opportunities in manufacturing and let them share their discoveries with their fellow students. Now, they need your support! Click the link below, find ALLEGHENY VALLEY & EPD ELECTRONICS, and cast your vote. You can vote multiple times throughout the week—so keep the votes coming all week long! 🔗 Vote Here

Any Battlebots fans out there? Battlebots just released their latest video sneak peak of a new season this week. Coincidentally, What’s So Cool About Manufacturing 2025’s videos will be coming out next week. EPD is honored to have Zach Robinson from Team HiJinx working on a project with us and we were able to let the kids at Allegheny Valley interview Zach about how working at a contract electronics manufacturer helped him navigate the high octane, high stakes, competition life style of an international robot fighting league engineer. Look out for the link to the video next week to hear what Zach had to say.

Woohoo, EPD Electronics made Santa's nice list. (It might have had something to do with the incredibly large pallet full of cookies and milk we left out.) Regardless of how we got on the nice list it paid off and we were rewarded with a lot of big presents on our dock during Christmas break. Now we just need to figure out to get them out of the packaging and see if we have the right size batteries on hand. 😉

The first of many new pieces we're installing in 2025 has arrived. It's going to be exciting around here for the next few months. This particular piece, for those not familiar, will double our capacity in our automated through hole soldering work area. More updates to come as more new pieces arrive. Stay tuned . . . . . .
