EMX on the MOON? 🌕 Somewhere up there — in the silence, the dust, the wide nothing — a little panel of mirrors is still doing its job. It was placed over 50 years ago by men in bulky suits with stars in their eyes. Apollo 11… 14… 15… They left behind something brilliant: a retroreflector. Why? To shoot lasers at, of course. By measuring the time it takes for a beam of light to bounce back — over 238,855 miles — scientists can calculate the Moon’s distance with millimeter precision. Even now, five decades later, those same mirrors are still returning data. And they’re doing it all in an environment where: 🌡️ Temperatures swing from –238°F to +248°F ☀️ There's no atmosphere 🌑 Lunar dust and solar radiation bombard everything Now — is it our tech up there? 👀 We’re not saying it is. We’re not saying it isn’t. But we’ll say this: If EMX built something for the Moon, it would still be working too. 💪 The good news? Back here on Earth… You probably don’t need to reflect lasers that span a two-hundred-and-forty THOUSAND mile distance! (last we checked, gates aren’t usually that wide) You probably just need to keep a normal width gate secure, safe, and code-compliant. And for that? You need the IRB-RET2. A retroreflective photoeye that’s: ✅ UL325-2018 compliant ✅ Packed with 6 monitoring interfaces ✅ Built to handle dust, cold, glare, rain, and vibration ✅ Designed with a 60 ft. read range ✅ Easy to align, easy to install, and housed in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure ✅ Sleek, compact, and proudly Made in the USA 🇺🇸 Click here to check it out now: https://lnkd.in/ef3GCp65 💨 Engineered for the Elements (on EARTH!) 📐 Designed to work 🇺🇸 Made in the USA

We've had a great week at EMX welcoming our new West Coast Sales Representative, Jacob McComas who came to town to meet the team and tour EMX HQ here in Cleveland, OH! 🇺🇸 Jacob worked in the sports medicine field while studying at Washington State University, and most recently, was a power tools representative in the Seattle market. He's excited to get to know the #AccessControl Industry! Outside of work, he loves golfing and enjoys watching sporting events, especially college football (go Cougs!), NFL (Seahawks), and baseball (Mariners). He spends his free time outdoors and enjoys building projects, whether in woodshop or dabbling in hobby electronics. Welcome to the EMX Team! Jacob McComas!
