When you put a medicine in your body, you should be able to trust it. We develop and manufacture our medicines with that goal in mind: ensuring people have safe, effective and high-quality treatment options they can rely on. Patients should never be exposed to the risk of unsafe mass-produced knockoffs, and the FDA is now requiring that all mass compounding and sales of our diabetes and obesity medicines must stop. Nearly 25 percent of the world’s population has high levels of a Lp(a), an inherited, genetic form of high cholesterol that raises the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Lifestyle changes like diet and exercise don’t provide meaningful reductions, and currently there are no approved medicines for this condition. Our scientists are working on a potential new medicine to change that. Results from a mid-stage clinical study were published today in the NEJM Group. Read more: https://e.lilly/3FYNZIF

When Misty was 11, her father had a heart attack. When Misty was 29, her elder sister passed away due to complications of heart disease. When Misty was 44, her middle sister passed away from a heart attack. That’s when Misty went to the doctor and learned that her Lp(a) was extremely high. A genetic and inherited condition, high Lp(a) can result in a higher risk for heart disease and stroke. With this newfound diagnosis and with help from the Family Heart Foundation, Misty’s been able to gain clarity and make connections with other people who have had similar experiences. March 24 is Liproprotein(a) Awareness Day. To learn more about Misty and see how you can discover your Lp(a) levels, click the image. #WeAreLilly #knowLpa

You don’t choose to become ill. You don’t choose for your loved ones to become ill. You don’t choose to fight countless battles that are yet to be won. That’s why we pursue bold science, take risks and push the limits of what’s possible. That’s why we work every single day to drive progress for patients. Yesterday Fast Company named us one of the most innovative companies in medicines and therapeutics. Thanks to everyone who makes this cutting-edge work possible. Jirong Lu, one of the most accomplished scientists in our company’s history, has dedicated her career to discovering medicines that help people – including our treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. But she hasn’t often met the people who have benefited from her groundbreaking research. When Myra Garcia—who lives with Alzheimer’s disease—visited our corporate center in Indianapolis, the two became fast friends. This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the impact of women in science and the brave voices of patients like Myra. See her full story at https://e.lilly/4iqGEzE. #IWD2025 #WeAreLilly

For millions of people impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, hope lies with the people who are working tirelessly to find bold advances in science that may lead to new treatments. Potentially, even cures. We feel honored that some of the most brilliant minds, who have shown the greatest tenacity in studying this disease, are part of our team. That includes our Chief Scientific Officer Daniel Skovronsky who was recently awarded the prestigious Melvin R. Goodes Prize for Excellence in Drug Development from the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation. Dan, congratulations on being recognized for your exceptional contributions to help patients and caregivers. #WeAreLilly
