According to a 2023 report by Consultancy.org, consultants spend an average of 6 to 12 hours crafting a single proposal — and for many independents or boutique firms, that time is unpaid, non-billable investment. Even the most skilled consultants will need onboarding time, some runway to tailor their approach, and collaboration from your internal teams. Holding out for “perfect” often means missing out on “excellent.” 📌 In fact, studies from Harvard Business Review consistently show that focusing on “cultural fit” or “perfection” leads to missed opportunities, longer hiring cycles, and biased decision-making.
