  • 🛠️ ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. Takes a Major Step Forward at our Union Hill and Tallman Pump Station Project! 🛠️ Our Union Hill and Tallman Pump Stations Team recently completed Factory Witness Performance Testing for the main pumps at Flowserve Corporation's Manufacturing Facility in Maryland, marking a key milestone for the Project. These impressive vertical elbow suction, floor-mounted solids handling pumps are powerhouses. Equipped with cardan shafting and 150 HP @GE Industrial motors, each unit is capable of pumping a staggering 2,300 GPM. To confirm performance and reliability, these pumps were tested using job-specific Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) from Rockwell Automation. Next up, these high-performance pumps, motors, and VFDs will be delivered to our job sites at the Union Hill and Tallman Pump Stations. Rehabilitation work will then commence, with ECCO III initiating bypass pumping. We're on track to deliver significantly upgraded and more efficient systems for the Rockland County Sewer Dst 1 ! 🗓️ Huge thanks to both the dedicated ECCO III Team and our partners at Flowserve Corporation for their collaborative efforts which made this critical testing phase a success! #ECCOIII #Construction #Engineering #PumpStation #Infrastructure

ECCO III Enterprises Completes $66M Bronx Bridge Replacement ALBANY—New York State officials announced on March 31 the completion of a $66.4-million project that began more than three years ago which eventually replaced the bridge carrying the Bronx River Parkway over the Metro-North Railroad in the Wakefield and Woodlawn neighborhoods of the Bronx. The project replaced a 75-year-old structure with a modern, multi-girder steel structure to enhance safety and ease travel along this vital artery for commuters in the New York Metropolitan area. Repairs were also made to a nearby concrete bridge that carries the parkway over the Bronx River and to a section of the Bronx River Greenway that runs underneath the structure. ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. of Yonkers, the contractor, began the project in the fall of 2021 to improve the stretch of the Bronx River Parkway between Nereid Avenue and East 233rd Street. The new bridge over the rail line features a concrete deck and shoulders on either side of the roadway to allow space for disabled vehicles and enhance safety. Other improvements include new bridge abutments, lighting, resurfaced pavement, retaining walls, improved drainage and new overhead signs. Repairs were also made to the underside of the nearby concrete arch bridge over the Bronx River. The structure was rehabilitated to add new concrete safety barriers and shoulders. NYS Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez said the bridge replacement project along the Bronx River Parkway will help provide a smoother, safer ride for the tens of thousands of commuters “who travel this busy highway each day, allowing them to get where they need to go more efficiently.” #transportation #constructionindustry

  • ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is excited to announce that in early March, we achieved Substantial Completion on Contract 16-512: Secondary System Rehabilitation Yonkers Joint Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) for Westchester County 👏 This critical Project included the blasting and recoating of the existing secondary aeration piping at Yonkers' WWTP, along with replacing two (2) 54-inch couplings. We also replaced five (5) cooling water pumps, and their associated automatic strainers, piping, and valves. The plant water and high pressure washdown systems were both upgraded with pre-engineered skid-mounted systems, featuring new pumps, valves, flow meters, and control panels. Additionally, we revamped the compressed air system with new compressors, dryers, holding tanks, controls, and piping, along with upgrading the electrical equipment to support these new systems. Extra work included the replacement of nine (9) 20” plug valves on the Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) piping and a new grit pump, piping and valves in the Screening Building. Congratulations to our Yonkers Wastewater Treatment Plant Team on their successful delivery of this Project! 🙌 #ECCOIII #Infrastructure #MechanicalInfrastructure #Westchester

  • 🚧 Project Update: Replacement of the Baptist Church Road Bridge (Contract CRO-530B) 🚧 ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is making excellent progress on the Baptist Church Road Bridge Replacement Project for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP)! THE LATEST 👇 🔨 Cofferdam Installation: The last side of the cofferdam, including lower bracing, was successfully installed, providing a secure work environment for the next phases of construction. 🔨 Dewatering Setup: We set up pumps and hoses to facilitate dewatering. Dewatering basins have been established on both the north and south ends of the bridge to support the operation. 🔨 Substructure Demolition: We excavated down to the bottom of the existing bridge footing to complete the demolition of the remaining arch, wingwalls, and abutments. 👷♂️ WHAT’S NEXT? More excavation to come, clearing the way for construction of the new bridge foundations! Great work to our Baptist Church Road Bridge Team! #Infrastructure #NYCDEP #ECCOIII

  • ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is making strong progress on Contract D265217 – Highway Reconstruction: US Route 6 at Annsville Cricle for Flood Mitigation for the NYS Department of Transportation. 🚧 This flood-mitigation project will elevate the Annsville Circle by four (4) feet and elevate a half-mile segment of Route 6/Route 202 by seven (7) feet, improving safety during high tides, heavy rain, and flooding from extreme weather events. Recently, we completed several key tasks under Phase 1B to advance the full-depth reconstruction of the existing circle, including the placement of lightweight foamed glass aggregate fill, the raising of roadway elevation above the floodplain, and the installation of new drainage systems, electrical conduits, and underdrain pipes. Additionally, we placed new decorative light posts and pull boxes, installed granite curbing for the roundabout and splitter islands, established side slopes, and completed landscaping in the surrounding areas. ✅ Currently, we are working on the installation of sidewalks and concrete medians, constructing the roundabout truck apron, and fine grading the subbase. Roadway paving will follow, allowing us to shift traffic and transition to Phase 2A of the Project. 🚦 Great work to our Annsville Circle Team for ensuring this Project remains on track! #ECCOIII #Construction #AnnsvilleCircle #RoadwayImprovements
