The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals whose careers have been distinguished by exceptional service, leadership, and contributions to the civil engineering profession and broader community. Rizwan was selected for this prestigious honor based on his more than 44 years of dedication to advancing engineering excellence, mentorship, and impactful infrastructure development across the Mid-Atlantic region. As the longtime leader of EBA, a 150-person multidisciplinary firm, Rizwan has helped shape major water infrastructure and transportation projects, championed policies to support infrastructure development and businesses, led efforts to mentor and elevate future engineers, and engaged in numerous community service activities and leadership roles. His leadership and service extend across a wide range of professional, civic, and charitable organizations, including American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), and numerous state and local boards. He has made significant contributions to public policy, STEM education, small business advocacy, and community development initiatives.
