It’s #NationalPetDay, and we love our furry office friends! We spoke with Julien Altieri, Senior Staff Product Manager at EarnIn — and more importantly, Loki’s human — to learn more about his connection with his dog and how Loki (she/her) fits in with the team. What is your favorite thing about working at EarnIn? Wonderful colleagues. When I started, I made it a habit to take the longest possible path to my desk to have the opportunity to connect with colleagues. Fostering these connections gave me strength to overcome challenges and the inspiration to tackle bigger problems. Loki is a beloved part of the EarnIn team! How does she brighten your workday? I love seeing her express her personality. She always wants and claims a seat at the table, celebrates the end of every meeting, participates in leadership AMAs, and loves being clapped for during all-hands meetings. She is also an incredible time keeper: she somehow knows when it’s 5pm, also when it’s 5:30, and especially when it’s 6 and dad is late to go home. Could you share the story of how you adopted Loki? We decided to get a dog who would enjoy our lifestyle (continuously growing, and frequently outdoors on some adventures). That led us to pick an Australian Shepherd as it’s a high-energy, high-intellect breed. We debated on her name for a while and settled on Loki, the “doggess” of mischief. She had her tongue out in the picture, which immediately made her stand out. If Loki had a job at EarnIn, what role do you think she’d have? She is totally my second boss. She also shares traits in common with the role of Project Manager (time keeping, accountability, scope protection, meeting facilitation, etc). Are you (and your pet) looking for a new place to thrive? EarnIn is hiring. Visit our careers page to check out our open roles: https://bit.ly/48iksmZ

We are incredibly proud to see one of the first users of Early Pay, Arianna Toro, share her success story in the Tampa Bay Times today. A working mom and Operations Manager at Ulta Beauty, Arianna has used EarnIn’s Early Pay to access her paycheck up to 2 days early. It’s helped her navigate the rising costs in Florida and given her more peace of mind while raising her 7-month-old son. “When I can access my paycheck early, I can put money into savings sooner, take advantage of opportunities to pay down debt before interest adds up, and avoid unnecessary fees or penalties.Instead of waiting for my bank to process deposits on their schedule, I can move my money when it works best for me.” - Arianna Toro It’s great to learn Arianna’s story and we’re looking forward to hearing how Early Pay has also helped so many others build a financial life on their terms. Read more about Arianna's story and learn more about Early Pay in the comments!
Arianna, a mom and Ulta Beauty manager in Florida, just wrote a powerful OpEd in the Tampa Bay Times about how EarnIn’s Early Pay gives her the flexibility to care for her young son, manage rising costs, and avoid unnecessary fees. https://lnkd.in/gf8wVtbD

#WomensHistoryMonth reminds us to keep supporting women in the fight for equity and inclusion, especially in the workplace. We sat down with Sunita Liggin, Senior People Practices Partner at EarnIn, to hear how she’s doing just that, co-leading the Women’s Impact Network ERG. What does Women’s History Month mean to you? When I first started working in the 80s, women were just beginning to step into leadership roles. We had to dress a certain way, speak a certain way, and often prove ourselves twice over. As an immigrant, I was fortunate to have mentors who guided me - teaching me not only the technical aspects of my job but the unwritten rules of navigating the corporate world. Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on how far we’ve come and focus on pushing forward. It’s about honoring those who paved the way and making sure the next generation faces fewer barriers. How do you envision an inclusive and equitable future for all women? A truly inclusive future means women don’t have to change who they are to succeed. It means diverse leadership is the norm, not the exception, and recognizing that inclusion isn’t just about gender but about intersectionality — ensuring women, regardless of race, background, or economic status, have access to opportunities. As a lead for the Women's Impact Network at EarnIn, how do you see the ERG impact women in the workplace? One of the most impactful moments WIN (Women’s Impact Network) has had was when we introduced small PODs — groups of women who meet regularly to listen, connect, and lift each other up. This simple idea led to deeper conversations and relationships and more women feeling they have a voice at EarnIn. Looking for a career with a company that values and supports women? #InternationalWomensDay is a day to celebrate women across the globe and discuss ways to build greater equity. We spoke with Jira Sriyanai, Office & Employee Experience Manager at EarnIn’s Thailand office, to hear what that looks like for her. What does International Women’s Day mean to you? For me, International Women’s Day is about celebrating, reflecting, and pushing forward. It’s a moment to recognize how strong and capable women are and that we’re still fighting for equality in many spaces. It reminds me of the incredible women in my life who lift each other up, break barriers, and prove every day that we belong in every room and at every table. What inspires you most about the women you work with at EarnIn? The women at EarnIn lead with empathy, celebrate each other’s successes, and foster a truly inspiring environment, creating a culture of encouragement and inclusivity. How do you envision a more inclusive and equitable future for all women? A future where women have opportunities, leadership positions, and success that aren’t determined by gender, but by talent, passion, and hard work. To get there, we need to continue creating safe spaces for women to thrive, and making sure every voice is heard. Looking to work with a team that fosters equality and empathy? EarnIn is hiring. Raising children throws you into a new world no book or class can prepare you for. Stephen Sun, Security GRC Team Lead at EarnIn, finds solace and community in EarnIn’s Family First Employee Resource Group among other parents and caregivers sharing their experiences with each other. How has EarnIn’s parent and caregiver ERG, Family First, supported you? It provides a space where I can connect with other parents, share experiences, and get advice from others who truly understand the challenges and joys of raising kids. Whether it’s talking about sleep training, daycare struggles, or sharing a funny story, this ERG creates a more supportive and inclusive workplace. Can you share any insight as a new father that has impacted you? Being a new parent helps put things into perspective quickly in terms of what is truly important in life, what it means to be present, and to be deliberate about how you spend your time. Small moments—like reading a bedtime story or hearing my child laugh—carry so much weight now. What is your favorite thing about working here? EarnIn is a results-oriented company and provides the flexibility I need to be present for my family. This flexibility allows me to be an engaged parent while also performing at a high level professionally. Knowing that I can step away when my family needs me makes a huge difference in my work experience. If you’re looking for a career that values work-life balance and offers parental leave benefits, EarnIn is hiring. Opportunities to recognize and reflect on the triumphs of Black Americans are always worth taking. We sat down with Lana Lawson Commercial Counsel at EarnIn, and talked about how Black History Month resonates with her. What does Black History Month mean to you? Black History Month is a time to remember the sacrifices my ancestors made for me and recognize the path that Black Americans are creating today. I celebrate Black History Month because it reminds me of where I came from so I can remember where I am going. Can you share a moment or person in Black history that has impacted you? When I visited Madam C.J. Walker's Legacy Center in third grade. I came from very humble beginnings so visiting the factory of the first self-made black female millionaire changed my perspective of what a black woman could accomplish in America with hard work and perseverance. How can EarnIn’s DIB efforts continue to honor Black history and culture? As a leader of Black at EarnIn (“BAE”), having the support of my People Experience Team, EarnIn co-workers, and leadership, I feel we do a phenomenal job celebrating and honoring Black history and culture throughout the year! If you’re looking for a career that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and belonging, EarnIn is hiring. Check out our careers page for open opportunities: https://bit.ly/48iksmZ

If you’re looking for some inspiration to keep your New Year’s resolutions going, talk to Pablo Andrade, Software Engineer at EarnIn. We did — and learned about his goals and how he’s sticking with them. As we welcome the new year, what are your goals for 2025? I’m looking forward to achieving new milestones with my weightlifting and am eager to deepen my understanding of finances. Professionally, I’m excited to keep modernizing EarnIn’s Signup and Login experience! What’s one lesson you’ve learned in the past year that you’ll carry forward? It’s best to launch and iterate rather than try to get it perfect at first. Getting feedback after launching a product is more valuable than trying to predict what the customer's behavior will be. How do you plan on keeping your New Year’s resolutions? I think it’s important to plan our personal goals before the end of January. There will always be hurdles along the way, but if the goal is clearly set then one can maneuver through. Well put, Pablo. If you’re looking to make moves toward your goals in 2025 too, EarnIn is hiring. Check out our careers page for more info on opportunities: https://bit.ly/48iksmZ

The holidays are here — and sometimes the simplest traditions can be the most meaningful. We sat down with Kim Trometer, Fraud Dispute Operations Manager, and Calvin Chu, Sr. Product Manager, at EarnIn to hear about theirs. What are your favorite holiday traditions? Kim: Gifting an ornament each year to my children and extended family, each one representing a meaningful event from the past year. When my children grew up, I gave them all the ornaments they’ve now collected over the years, so they can carry a little piece of home. Calvin: Growing up, my family and I would put up the Christmas tree together right after Thanksgiving dinner. My younger brother, our cats, and I would spend weeks excitedly waiting for the special day to arrive. What do you like most about the holidays? Kim: My favorite part is spending time with friends and family, whether it's visiting Santa, baking delicious treats, or simply enjoying each other's company. Calvin: The holidays always bring a sense of comfort and closure to the year and a fresh spark of excitement for what’s coming next. When have you felt a strong sense of belonging this year at EarnIn? Kim: During particularly challenging times, EarnIn provided me with a safe space to be my authentic self. This support fostered a deep sense of trust within the company and greatly improved my well-being, knowing I had that level of understanding and care. Calvin: Recently EarnIn hosted a company-wide event in San Francisco and brought people from all over the world together. It reminded me of attending a university reunion — as we celebrate our growth and share stories about what we’ve been working on for the past year. If you’re looking to make a real impact in 2025 with teammates like Kim and Calvin, EarnIn is hiring. Check out our careers page for more info on openings: https://bit.ly/48iksmZ Happy holidays!

Volunteering keeps so many communities ticking. For this International Volunteer Day, we sat down with Lara Owens, CFCS, CRCM, Enterprise Risk Management Specialist at EarnIn, and chatted about her volunteer work with young children and how that community has improved her life both personally and professionally. Where do you volunteer and what keeps you motivated? I volunteer at our local school during the summer months through the non-profit my husband and I created, Future Community Leaders. What motivates me is seeing a child light up with wonder and curiosity because they’ve experienced something new and can see that the world is bigger than their immediate surroundings. How has volunteering impacted you? Through volunteering, I have learned to always be curious. As we grow up we lose some of our wonder and become quick to form opinions. Children do not have those biases yet. They are accepting of everyone until they are taught not to be. They can teach us all to be more loving and accepting. Are there any skills you’ve gained through volunteering that have helped you at EarnIn? I’ve learned to be vulnerable. Children are unfiltered and honest, and they tell you exactly what they think. Being open to their perspectives is critical to connecting with them. This has also taught me to be vulnerable with my ideas and open to feedback from my colleagues. I value their perspectives and appreciate that EarnIn fosters an environment of curiosity. Has your volunteering impacted the communities EarnIn serves? The volunteer work I do helps young minds dream beyond their current circumstances. My hope is that they experience something that inspires them to focus their life in a positive direction. This is similar to what we do at EarnIn for our Community Members. They come to us for help meeting their financial needs so that they can begin to consider the possibility of living more. If you’re looking to make an impact with Lara and the rest of the team at EarnIn, check out our careers page for more info on available openings: https://bit.ly/48iksmZ
