The historic heart and modern-day pulse of San Francisco | The CBD serving Jackson Square & the Financial District.
About us
Downtown SF Partnership is the newest Community Benefit District in San Francisco and was formed in January 2020. Developed by a coalition of property and business owners, the District includes two of the oldest continuous business districts in the City (Financial District and Jackson Square) and funds special benefit services over and above what the City already provides including cleaning and safety services, mobility management, public realm improvements and beautification, and marketing. OUR MISSION We lead the way in building a thriving downtown where business gets done, people feel welcome, come to explore, and make memories. We’re a nonprofit community benefit district working to enhance the downtown core, the traditional Financial District and historic Jackson Square through public/private partnerships, placemaking, activating the public realm, clean and safe operations, marketing support and more. OUR VISION Downtown San Francisco is an economic powerhouse and historic core, redefining what makes our city vibrant, resilient, and welcoming. WE ARE Collaborative -- We harness the power of partners; the most enduring innovative and nuanced solutions are when partners work together, building long-term solutions around a common goal. Entrepreneurial -- Our spirit and a way of doing things that leans into being nimble, pivoting quickly, and taking calculated risks to advance or defend innovative ideas. Impactful -- We're strategic and thoughtful in our work and leverage opportunities that amplify our work and lead to substantive changes for the District. Celebratory -- We know what's authentic and distinctive about our downtown and we continually advocate for, preserve, promote and celebrate it.

A St. Patrick’s Day to remember! 🍀 This year’s St. Pat’s on Front was more than just a celebration—it was a major win for local businesses and a testament to the power of community-driven events. Hosted in San Francisco’s first-ever Entertainment Zone, this longtime Front Street tradition drew an incredible crowd, proving that downtown is reclaiming its energy as a top destination. With 5,700 attendees, the event made a real economic impact: ✅ Harrington’s Bar & Grill saw a 90% sales increase from St. Pat's 2024 and served 3,500+ beers ✅ Schroeder’s had a 717% jump in Monday sales and a 23% boost from last year’s St. Pat's ✅ Royal Exchange saw a 621% increase in Monday sales and a 29% boost from St. Pat's 2024 cc: Alex Barreira https://lnkd.in/eWehtcPp

"The North Financial District around Jackson Square [has become] a rare bright spot in the city’s anemic recovery," wrote JK Dineen in his recent SF Chronicle article on the proposed skyscraper at 530 Sansome St. 🏙️✨ We couldn’t agree more! It’s exciting to see new projects and media recognition reinforcing what we’ve long known-- our District is driving San Francisco’s economic resurgence. 💼 Planning for the 41-story mixed-use tower featuring a hotel, office space, and a fire station is back in motion after years of uncertainty. What once seemed like a contrarian bet on Downtown SF is now moving full steam ahead, with completion expected by 2030. 🏗️ Momentum is building-- read more about this exciting project below! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gTrVG3tg
