While some have looked to nuclear power as a clean alternative to fossil fuels, we maintain that it is not a viable pathway forward. In addition to ongoing concerns about the proliferation of nuclear technology and significant health and safety risks—which disproportionately burden low-income and communities of color—nuclear power plants are increasingly vulnerable to climate-related risks like flooding and fires. Our stance is firm: we have never invested in nuclear power and believe the transition to renewable energy is essential to a sustainable, low-carbon future.
