  • Dispatch Energy is excited to participate and meet industry leaders at Infocast's New York Energy Summit on April 7th-9th.  Join us on April 7 at 2:45 p.m. ET as Adam Woda, Director of Strategic Development, shares his insight on the 'Policy Innovation for Community Solar and Distributed Assets' panel. Community solar has been essential to New York's clean energy transition, but significant hurdles such as siting, permitting, and rising costs persist. This panel will explore policy solutions and innovations needed to address these challenges and support the continued growth of distributed energy resources across the state. We recently attended the WX State of the Market Breakfast at the NY Bar Association, where women professionals came together to discuss the macroeconomy, tariffs and policy, and commercial real estate, along with an insightful presentation by Trepp, Inc.'s Chief Economist, Rachel Szymanski, Ph.D. Our takeaway? During this period of market uncertainty, it’s the perfect time for commercial real estate owners to explore ways to add to their property’s revenue streams without putting in an additional investment. One standout solution is solar energy, it’s a proven way to create steady, long-term cash flow. • This month, we'd like to highlight a few of the remarkable women who have paved the way in the energy industry with their groundbreaking advancements. Despite the challenges they faced and the recognition they were often denied, their resilience continues to inspire us all. Join us as we honor their impactful contributions to the world: Eunice Foote: In the 1850s, studying the role of carbon dioxide and water vapor in absorbing heat, Foote laid the ground for the discovery of the greenhouse effect. Her findings were presented by a male colleague in 1856, and her recognition came along only in 2011.  Edith Clarke: Invented a calculator that revolutionized electric grid technology in 1921. She also assisted in the development of hydropower turbines at Hoover Dam. With many firsts to her name, she was posthumously inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame in 2015. Mária Telkes: Nicknamed' Sun Queen', in 1935, Telkes started studying solar power at MIT. She eventually invented an emergency solar-powered desalination kit for sailors and pilots during World War II, created a solar-powered home heating system, and partnered to create the first solar-electric home in 1980.  Katharine Burr Blodgett: In 1938, Blodgett invented the non-reflective transparent glass used in solar panels today. She was also the first female researcher at GE Research Labs and the first woman to earn her doctorate in physics from Cambridge.  Denise Gray: Nicknamed the 'Battery Czar' at GM, Gray spearheaded the EV revolution by developing and implementing the lithium-ion battery in the Chevrolet Volt. She has been named Women of Color magazine's Technologist of the Year and received the U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Initiative's Lifetime Achievement Award. • Rising energy costs are putting pressure on large facilities, with electricity typically accounting for 15% of a warehouse’s operating budget. As AI and data center power demands grow, owners need solutions that provide cost stability and resilience. Distributed generation (DG) solutions—like on-site solar and battery storage—help reduce energy expenses, stabilize costs, and create long-term value for both owners and tenants. Future-proof your operations with smarter energy investments. • The electric grid has come a long way since Thomas Edison’s first centralized power station in 1882. As regional interconnections grew, so did inefficiencies and vulnerabilities—challenges that have only intensified with rising demand and extreme weather. Today, the future of energy is shifting. Renewables, battery storage, and microgrids are transforming the grid into a more decentralized, resilient system. By modernizing energy infrastructure, we can ensure reliability, efficiency, and sustainability for the next era of power. #DispatchEnergy #CleanEnergy #RenewableEnergy #Solar #SolarandStorage #BESS

  • While government support has been invaluable for renewables growth, we’re now a mature enough industry to stand on our own two feet and have proven intrinsic value for both our clients and our country’s energy infrastructure. Distributed energy resources (DERs) and at-scale energy storage improve reliability, while renewables offer lower costs and energy independence—critical in times of political change and uncertainty. For corporations there is a valuable opportunity to align sustainability with profitability. With expertise in navigating diverse state-specific policies and standards, we excel at creating market opportunities and addressing regulatory challenges, reducing reliance on incentives that may not be here to stay. Let’s build a resilient renewable energy market together. #DistributedEnergy #CleanTech #DispatchEnergy #CleanEnergy #RenewableEnergy #DG #DistributedGeneration
