Such a great day representing Discovery Behavioral Health at the BRAVE SUMMIT!! It was incredible connecting with community partners, providers, and over 2,000 high school students from across the state of Florida! When a person completes behavioral health treatment, the real work of recovery begins. Discovery Behavioral Health and Brigham and Women's Hospital  recently published a study that shows the importance of measuring a patient's perception of their own recovery using the Recovery Assessment Score (RAS). These findings demonstrate that measurement-based care can help patients with even the most severe conditions achieve recovery. Last Saturday was a special day! I had the privilege of being with Broward County Public Schools & Superintendent Howard Hepburn visiting Plantation Middle School! Broward county is where I grew up and it feels so good promoting mental health awareness and engaging with parents and educators. As a mom, I know firsthand how important it is to create supportive environments for our child, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have these crucial conversations and share Discovery Behavioral Health programs that we offer to adoelscents in our community! 🤗 A huge thank you to the MY girl social worker, school, principal, and the community for welcoming me and for prioritizing mental health.
