Congratulations to Brynne Theodorou, RN, Labor & Delivery Nurse at Memorial Hospital for being a Daisy Award Winner! A recent patient who was in labor for her first delivery was feeling nervous and anxious. Brynne helped comfort the patient throughout her shift. The patient learned she would likely need to have a C-section, but she wanted to continue to aim for a natural delivery. “She made me feel genuinely cared for and would consistently check up on me to see if I needed anything and to ask how I was doing. She answered all my questions and did not make me feel pressured to do anything I didn't want to do,” expressed the patient. Brynne even went the extra mile, decorating her patient’s water cup with red “mommy” letters since the delivery was near Valentine’s Day to help ease her anxiety. Thank you, Brynne, for making our patients feel safe, reassured, and comforted during their birthing experience. #DignityHealthCareers #DaisyAward #PatientCare #LaborAndDelivery #HealthcareHeroes
