Bridging Industry-Academic Collaboration to Tackle Graduate Unemployment in Ghana We are excited to share the Junior Consultant Project—a powerful initiative that bridges the gap between academia and industry, addressing the pressing issue of graduate unemployment in Ghana. This project is a collaborative effort between Accra Technical University (ATU) and City University London, led by Prof. Ernest Winful (ATU) and Dr. Sara Jones (City University London). Featured in this documentary, the enterprises involved are all proud members of Social Enterprise Ghana, highlighting the essential role of social enterprises in creating sustainable job opportunities for young graduates. In Ghana, the transition from academia to the workforce remains a significant challenge, with many graduates facing difficulty in securing meaningful employment. The Junior Consultant Project seeks to equip students with essential hands-on experience, industry exposure, and networking opportunities. By partnering with leading industry players, we ensure that our curriculum is aligned with market demands, empowering students to develop the practical skills needed to thrive in a competitive job environment. This initiative is more than just a learning opportunity—it’s a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship. It fosters an ecosystem where both students and industry partners grow together, contributing to the socio-economic development of Ghana.
