✨ Inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders! ✨ Soldiers from the U.S. Army C5ISR Center had an opportunity to influence the next generation of leaders in STEM. The Fort Belvoir Upper School invited the Center's Research and Technology Integration Directorate to the school’s STEM Night on April, 10, 2024. The Soldiers showcased some of the Army’s latest night vision technology—giving students and Families a hands-on look through the Mobile Tunnel and DVE Display. The Center prides itself in supporting growing STEM programs with our educational partners. We’re proud of our team for sharing their expertise and a big thank you to the Fort Belvoir Upper School for inviting us. Develops innovative technologies that enable information superiority and tactical overmatch for our Joint Forces.
About us
With a workforce of more than 3,000 scientists, engineers, business support professionals and key military, The C5ISR Center, is an Army applied research and advanced technology development center under the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, or DEVCOM, which is a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Futures Command. The DEVCOM C5ISR Center discovers and develops innovative technologies that enable information superiority and tactical overmatch for our country’s most important customer: our Joint Forces. As the Army’s primary integrator of C5ISR technologies and systems, the center conducts applied Research and Development, or R&D, across a wide variety of capability areas that touch all six of the Army’s Modernization priorities. These include cyberspace operations, electronic warfare, Intelligence, data analysis and fusion, tactical network design, wireless communications, radar, sensors, electro-optics, mission command applications, autonomy and machine learning, power and energy, modeling and simulation, counter-IED, minefield detection/defeat and Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing. Mission: To enable the networked Warfighter by identifying, developing, and rapidly integrating innovative technologies that enable decisive lethality through information dominance in Multi-Domain Operations. Vision: C5ISR Center’s vision is an Army that dominates the electromagnetic spectrum, commands the operation, and creates decisive effects – any time, any place. We achieve these by: •Encouraging a hunger for new ideas •Developing new technologies •Develop new ways of working While this is an open forum, it's also family-friendly, so please keep your comments and wall posts clean. First things first! This week marked the beginning of the official Network Baseline 4.0 Validation and Verification (V&V) live test at the Army Aberdeen Test Center, which is taking lessons learned from the continual C2 Fix operational assessments to inform Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) baseline efforts. However, it was the Lab Based Risk Reduction (LBRR) conducted prior to the test -- seen here conducted by the U.S. Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center's Recky Ramirez and Jordan Anglado at the Coalition Joint Systems Integration Laboratory (CJSIL) -- that expedited the process. The engineer team tested the new and/or upgraded software and hardware to help identify and troubleshoot issues that could have negatively impacted the V&V’s operational threads, which feature a system of system environment from the Division TOC main, across vehicle variants, and down to the dismounted Soldier. These activities inform the PEO C3N priority to deliver NGC2 for the Army! Cryptographic keys prevent unauthorized entities from accessing classified information, but legacy key delivery can be cumbersome, or even dangerous. Recently a team of Army COMSEC personnel provided U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) with a better process by activating Key Management Infrastructure (KMI)-aware features on their encryption devices, allowing the combatant command’s remote sites to securely access keys over the network. https://lnkd.in/eY6YwRMa ASA(ALT) U.S. Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center Army Futures Command U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC) Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6 #ArmyTransformation #ArmyModerinization #ArmyCyber #SOUTHCOM #ArmyCOMSEC
