Today, Desert Regional Medical Center's Level 1 Trauma Center celebrated national recognition from the American College of Surgeons! Hospital leaders thanked doctors, nurses and staff for their hard work preparing for the ACS survey this past fall. In 2023, Riverside County designated the hospital as the Coachella Valley’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and this year received a national verification of that Level 1 status. Having a Level 1 Trauma Program in the Coachella Valley means residents have access to some of the highest levels of trauma care available in the country. #HealthcareBetterTogether #Trauma #DesertRegional #PalmSprings
