This is an incredibly important win in Wisconsin. But we can’t take our eyes off of the bigger story, which is that this win is crucial to helping Dems protect progress and keeps us in a strong position to be able to flip the legislature blue this cycle!

This is the second time this year that state Dems flipped a GOP district and the fifth majority-deciding special election in which Dems emerged with a win! The Pennsylvania House is on our target map as we look to protect our majority in 2026, and we’re ready to get it done.

Minnesota Rep.-elect Gottfried’s win marked the FOURTH majority-deciding special election that Democrats have won this year! Democrat Nannette Griffin also came within just 3 POINTS of flipping a red seat blue in a +27 Trump Iowa House district last night. These are just the latest examples of the winnable races and Democrats’ overperformance at the state legislative level in 2025, with more crucial special elections ahead.
