  • "There is no single material that can solve all noise problems!" In #Acoustics, success lies in finding the right balance between materials, space volume, design constraints, and usage. Each project is unique, and has its own unique challenges, requiring a comprehensive approach rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. Stay tuned for more tips from our acousticians!

  • What does an acoustic engineer carry? Our acoustician Antoine P. keeps it real — and fun! #acoustics #acousticengineer

👶🎧 The big kid in me had to try this toy box experiment… and voilà: the 𝐀𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤 is here! Because behind every acoustic analysis, there's science, a bit of fun, and a lot of noise (the good kind 😉). So here are my 6 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭-𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 for any aspiring sound hero:   1️⃣ 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 – Your trusty sidekick to measure all the sound and noise surrounding us.  2️⃣ 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐧 – 🎈Not for parties! Great for measuring echoes in rooms. 3️⃣ 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 – ☕ It didn’t make the top of the list, but let’s be honest... it’s essential fuel. 4️⃣ 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 – To blast pink noise, and rock music 🔊 to test the airborne sound insulation. 5️⃣ 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐩 – 💻 For crunching the numbers, running simulations, and replying to emails. 6️⃣ 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 – 🦶 For checking impact noise between floors and rooms. And of course… 🧍♂️💡 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧, with open ears and a drive to solve problems. Because acoustics isn’t just about tools and decibels, it’s about creating better spaces, one sound at a time.   #Acoustics #Engineering #ToyBox

  • Partnering for a Quieter, More Sustainable Future Industrial activities inevitably generate noise and air pollution, but a strong commitment to mitigation is a key part of environmental and social responsibility. VARD has taken a proactive step by entrusting Delhom Acoustics with a noise pollution assessment at its hull workshop, reinforcing its dedication to sustainability and workplace well-being. Thank you, VARD, for your trust and commitment to responsible industrial practices. We're proud to contribute to a more sustainable and quieter future! #Sustainability #NoisePollution #IndustrialAcoustics #EnvironmentalResponsibility

  • How does a concert hall recording compare to the real life experience feeling? 🎵 Our team, along with Treble Technologies, have explored this question in a study, comparing live and recorded sound experiences. In this collaborative project, we analyzed how sound propagation, reflections, and room characteristics influence our auditory perception, whether we are present in the concert hall or listening to a recording. • 💡 How to improve a restaurant experience and follow a brand culture through sound? 🍽️ The Shy Table Restaurant in Hangzhou is a reflection of its owner's personality, “introversion, truth, low profile and quietude”, qualities STUDIO8 ARCHITECTS 八荒设计 captured in a beautiful way when designing this project. This 750 sqm open area has two levels with a bar in the basement and an outdoor space too. Our role was to provide an acoustic treatment of the space that could help the clients experience the curated atmosphere created visually, which should also be felt. We combined the studied acoustic treatment with the indoor and exterior design, carefully selecting the materials to achieve a clean and neat image. Indoor reverberation was treated on both floors and used ceiling flocking spray, microperforated baffle of skylight and wall panels to prevent possible future noise issues and enhance the different sound areas’ needs. On the exterior ventilation pipe and other equipment, the external package was made of sound-absorbing materials and hidden in the bottom of the duct. Supporting acoustically the vision of F&B spaces helps them become a connection, celebration and nurturing place where people will feel more comfortable staying longer, enjoying more, and returning often. Stay tuned to see more projects where sound is one of the main ingredients!
