🌱 This week, #D3HUB had the pleasure of taking part in the Sustainable #EUTourism Workshop, a gathering dedicated to strengthening collaboration and governance across European destinations — with a special focus on engaging local stakeholders. Representatives from the Sustainable Azores (Carolina Mendoza), Arouca Geopark (Rui Costa), and Vorarlberg Tourismus (Miriam Berkmann) joined forces with Bart Neuts from Toerisme Vlaanderen - VISITFLANDERS, one of D3HUB’s partners, and Dolores Ordoñez from AnySolution, who also coordinates D3HUB. ✨ An incredible week at NECSTouR headquarters in Brussels! ✨ On Monday, March 24th, we kicked off the D3HUB - EU Competence Centre to support data management in tourism destinations Cluster “Balance between residents and visitors”, diving into the challenge of balancing residents' and visitors' needs. The pilot phase will tackle key topics such as short-term rentals, resident perceptions, forecasting, and carrying capacity calculations. NECSTouR co-leads this cluster with our colleagues from Toerisme Vlaanderen - VISITFLANDERS The momentum continued on Tuesday, March 25th, with the ToTLab Freemium event "European Tourism Data Space: All You Need to Know." This insightful session explored the ETDS's essential concepts and how DMOs and tourism SMEs can harness its potential.
