The symposium offered insightful discussions on the latest talent developments and opportunities with the GBA, while the career fair showcased a wide array of career options from nearly 40 leading enterprises across various industries, including banking, insurance, technology, finance, legal services and real estate. CTF Life was honoured to be invited as one of the few exhibitors from the insurance sector. Our booth was a highlight, drawing significant interest from attendees keen to learn about our pioneering initiatives and forward-looking vision. It was a privilege to connect with so many talented individuals who are enthusiastic about exploring career prospects in Hong Kong and the GBA. This initiative is a key focus of our Seeds for Future programme 2025, aiming to promote Chinese culture, enhance students’ language proficiency, instil positive values and nurture life education through reading – all to foster a harmonious and inclusive community. Both Dr MAC Classroom Reading Programme and Learning Living Chinese Programme, initiated by Jing Yuan Charity Foundation, represent the rich legacy of Dr. Cheng Yu-Tung, the legendary leader of Chow Tai Fook Group. The Chinese language materials provided under the Learning Living Chinese Programme were developed by a professional team of over 50 members led by renowned Chinese tutor Mr. Jayden Lam Yat Yan. These materials integrate Chinese historical and cultural knowledge, aligning with the local school curriculum, and come with audio pens to support school-based teaching and self-directed learning. We are excited to see the positive impact these resources will have on students' cultural confidence and sense of identity. This follows our historic achievement as the first company from the Banks, Diverse Financials and Insurance sector that primarily operates in the Greater Bay Area to submit a carbon reduction commitment letter to the SBTi last October.
