Meet Fatima Laher, a 2024 graduate from Johannesburg, South Africa 👋 Fatima recently earned her master’s degree from the HEC Paris Executive MSc & MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Today, she’s offering words of advice for anyone considering an online degree. 🧠 Know your why: “Align yourself with the outcome. Really ask yourself, ‘What do I want to get out of it?’” Know that, and you’ll put in the time and the hours—and be sure to plan ahead. “If you know it’s going to be a heavy week, try to do a little bit every day.” 🏋️ Do the work: GenAI tools can be great study enhancers, but for Fatima, nothing compares to the source material. “The depth of the knowledge I gained from reading the material is wonderful. I took the time and I really found the content so interesting and thought-provoking. It truly expands your worldview.” 🌱 Get out of your comfort zone: “Stay curious and be open to the other disciplines and what you’re being exposed to,” she says. Fatima felt empowered by her coursework. “I was immediately having conversations with not only my clients, but I walked into my CEO’s office and said, ‘Look, we have to talk about organizational structure.’” Learn like Fatima.
