Building community connections. Earlier this month several of our departments participated in the Rockland Works and Workforce Development Board of Rockland County’s “Yes to Success: Your Path to Employment” event at the Palisades Center. Job seekers had the opportunity to meet with our Department of Personnel recruitment team to explore current openings and take part in personal resume review sessions. Several of our county departments including the Rockland County Office for the Aging, Office for People with Disabilities and the Youth Bureau shared valuable community resources with more than 200 attendees. “This event marked a significant milestone for this collaboration of agency partners. It served the community in such a profound way, demonstrating the county’s commitment to its residents,” explained Rich Gore, Coordinator for Business and Employer Services at Rockland Works. #YesToSuccess #CareerDevelopment #EmploymentOpportunities #WorkforceDevelopment

Representatives from our #RocklandCounty Department of Personnel were on-site last week at SUNY Orange’s Newburgh campus for the New York State Department of Labor’s Civil Service Job Fair. Alongside dozens of agencies from across the state, our recruitment team met with job seekers from various industries, sharing valuable information about careers in public service. Attendees had the chance to sign up for civil service exam announcements and stay updated on current job openings in Rockland County. A big thank you to NYSDOL for hosting this event!
