I have had the wonderful opportunity this year to lead the KSU Timber Strong team and am happy to say that we got 6th place this year at the 2025 ASCE Southeast Symposium! This was KSU’s first time competing in this event so getting 6th out of 13 teams feels like such an accomplishment! I want to thank the whole team and our advisor Metin Oguzmert for teaching us everything we need to know about wood design and helping to get us to competition! I would also like to thank Contract Lumber, Inc. for donating the lumber we needed in order for the team to even exist. I can’t wait to compete again next year! Go Owls!
