Funding proposals for the Partnering for Health Equity grant are still open! The application will close this Friday, 2/7 at 5:00 pm! This is a one-time funding opportunity to support small, grassroots organizations in Greensboro that are working to address and improve the social and environmental factors that drive health equity. Grants are available for organizations that have not previously received grant funding from Cone Health Foundation. Congratulations to all the graduates from the Cambodian Association of North Carolina’s first Driver’s Ed class! The Cambodian Association of North Carolina’s leadership and initiative resulted in the translation of the DMV manual into Khmer, which was used in this first graduating cohort. This community effort contributes to safer communities, addresses language access barriers, and promotes economic mobility. Congratulations to the Association and to all the graduates 👨🏽🎓🎓🧑🏽🎓
"A Future of Service" was the theme at this morning’s 39th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast. We honor and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy by living up to our values of humility, accountability, compassion, and courage to support and uplift the Greensboro Community. The message was clear this morning, there is power in collectivism, true social change can only be achieved through united action and a shared commitment to justice and equity. Thank you to Greensboro Human Rights Commission, all the volunteers, 2025 MLK Planning Committee, Greensboro City Council, Greensboro City’s Manager’s Office, Dudley High School Morningside Academy Cohort, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Staton Wood Company, City of Greensboro Information Technology Department, and the City of Greensboro Communications & Marketing Department for a wonderful event. Congratulations to all the award winners!
