We are deeply saddened to share the care at home industry lost a great leader on Friday when David Merk passed after recent surgery. A longtime care at home industry insider having served as President of Androscoggin Home Health Services for 10 years before founding Home Health Gold in 1997, he was greatly admired and respected for his humility and wisdom. Everyone at Axxess benefited from his kindness and deep knowledge of our industry after Axxess acquired Home Health Gold in 2018. Our hearts go out Nancy and their children: Dana, Taylor, Charlotte and Liza, and his grandsons, Carter and Colby (and another grandson is on the way due late April), whom he spoke of often with appreciation for the joy they brought to him.
