Convenience-store fried chicken chain Krispy Krunchy Chicken Cape May set a record in 2024 for its most store openings ever, at 605. That eclipses the Alexandria, Louisiana-based chicken concept’s previous record of 481 set in 2023. Walmart has acquired Monroeville Mall in Western Pennsylvania for $34 million, marking the retailer's first shopping mall purchase.
