CAB Legislative Alert – Action Needed SB 426-A Engrossed is heading to the Oregon Senate floor this week. While it claims to address wage theft in the construction industry, this bill would unfairly shift liability onto responsible contractors, commercial property owners, and tenants—even if they had no knowledge of nonpayment. This legislation is bad for business and won’t remove bad actors from the system.
