  • Three questions to ask your accountant: 1️⃣ What should I stop doing to make more money? 2️⃣ What deductions or credits am I missing because I didn't tell you enough information? 3️⃣ Based on my interests/investments what’s an opportunity that you see that I should be aware of? This is proper advising, and it’s something we specialize in. We do tax optimization and planning all year round. So you get the best tax strategies and there are no surprises in your business. If you want this kind of advising, let's talk.

  • It’s never too early to start thinking about your 2025 taxes that you’ll file next year. This could be the year that you track things better than you did in 2024! There is huge value in tax planning throughout the year. Remember that there are some things you can only do before the end of the year. ▶️ Starting a 401K for your business ▶️ There's a sweet spot for S-corp with bonuses, but you really should give out your bonuses before the end of the year ▶️ Reimburse yourself for things before the end of the year ▶️ Buy that new laptop or other equipment before the end of the year You will get a better refund in 2026 if you do all of this in 2025!

  • Curious if you’re missing out on tax deductions to help you get a bigger refund? Depending on your tax filing status, here are some commonly missed business tax deductions: 1️⃣ Business expenses paid for personally - like your cellphone bill. 2️⃣ Do you work from home? Your home office boosted internet that you use for work, utilities at home, and repairs and maintenance can be deducted. 3️⃣ Commuting miles driven in your personal car and non-commuting milage - like buying supplies or meeting a client for lunch. Tip! Track all this personally and keep your receipts! If you don’t, you're gonna assume it’s a couple hundred, but it's more than likely a couple thousand in deductions per year. #TaxDeductions #TaxTips #SmallBusiness #TaxSeason #TaxRefund

  • Are you working hard but not making as much as you used to? Start here: 🤔 What % is total payroll to your sales? Is it greater than 50%? That may be part of the issue. How does your gross profit % compare to others in your industry? By being even 5% under average you could be losing 100k+ in cash flow. 📈 Look at the big picture of your financials but specifically your gross profit and payroll ratios. If those seem to be in line with industry averages, it may be time to pull out a fine tooth comb to your other expenses looking for waste. Don't know what your industry's gross profit or payroll % is, we can help! #Tax #TaxSeason #TaxSeason2025 #Business #BusinessTips #TaxTips
