The U.S. economy might be ok, or not. Either way, United Airlines says it's going to make money this year. The carrier took the unusual step of sticking with its original 2025 earnings outlook but offering a 2nd what-if forecast should the U.S. slip into a recession. "The Company’s outlook is dependent on the macro environment which the Company believes is impossible to predict this year with any degree of confidence." Like rival Delta, United is trimming its domestic capacity, cutting 4% out starting next quarter, with international and premium continue to hum along with domestic bookings in coach waning. Design software maker Figma said on Tuesday that it has submitted paperwork to the SEC for an IPO. The confidential filing lands 16 months after the company scrapped a deal to be acquired by Adobe for $20 billion due to regulatory pressure in the U.K. The San Francisco startup had originally agreed to the deal 2022. Adobe paid Figma a $1 billion termination fee. Figma's software is popular among designers inside companies who need to collaborate on prototypes for websites and apps. The company was valued at $12.5 billion in a 2024 tender offer.

Vietnam is the 6th largest source of U.S. imports. If the U.S. government’s reciprocal tariffs reach levels suggested in April, it could change the country’s economic trajectory. A portion of Vietnam’s rising exports to the U.S. may be Chinese products that were rerouted to evade higher tariff rates. Find the full report: cnb.cx/4cyq7rH

Megan Moritz bought her dream house in 2019. However, the 1,400-square-foot home, in the Arlington Heights suburb northwest of Chicago, was built in the 1930s and lacked insulation — leading to heating bills that were "very high," said Moritz, 48. The first-time homeowner opted to pay about $5,700 for a series of projects last year to make her home more energy-efficient. She added insulation to the walls, and sealed gaps in ductwork connected to her furnace to prevent air leaks.
