On April 1, Holocaust Community Services hosted a truly meaningful event—the Spring opening of the Daffodil Memorial Garden at our Delighter/Winston Center for Aging Well. We were honored to be joined by Holocaust Survivors and students from Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School. The beautiful music by violinist Aviva Chertok added a special touch to the gathering. Together, we reflected on the memory of those lost in the Holocaust as we admired the blooming daffodils planted last fall as part of The Daffodil Project. Participants also painted stones to symbolize remembrance and resilience. This year, we will extend the garden with orange daffodils named "Blooms for Bibas," dedicated to the Bibas family and all victims of October 7th. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this heartfelt moment of remembrance, reflection, and hope. 💛 For more information about the Daffodil Project, please visit https://lnkd.in/gyshG9zw #holocaustcommunityservices #DaffodilProject

Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, we honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of others who suffered under Nazi persecution. We also pay tribute to the strength and resilience of Holocaust survivors, whose courage and stories ensure the world never forgets. Their voices are a powerful reminder of the importance of standing against hatred and building a more compassionate future. The World Jewish Congress is hosting their annual #WeRemember social campaign to ensure that the horrors of the past will never be repeated or forgotten. We welcome you to join us in participating in the #WeRemember campaign by posting a photo on your social media channels with the hashtag #WeRemember, and tag Jewish Federations of North America so we can see and share it. #HolocaustRemembranceDay #NeverForget #WeRemember
