Yesterday evening, the City Council joined the Foster City Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the return of Off the Grid! With a new layout in the meadow of Leo J. Ryan Park, community members are invited every Wednesday from 5-9p to enjoy a delicious array of offerings from some awesome food trucks. We hope to see you there!

Located at the crossroads of US-101 and SR-92 on the San Francisco Peninsula, Foster City is home to over 30,000 residents and a thriving commercial base including biotech, electronic payment / financial services, software development and research, clean energy, and several merchants in the restaurant and other personal services sectors. Foster City is devoted to being a sustainable community in terms of economics (providing opportunities for economic growth for businesses and employment opportunities for those living in the community), environment (ensuring the City has the natural resources necessary to support itself long-term) and social investment (the right blend of recreational, cultural, and social fabric elements). The City seeks to sustain and enhance the quality of life of those that live, work and play in this beautiful, master-planned community. As an employer, the City employs nearly 190 full-time employees and over 50 part-time and seasonal employees.

Yesterday afternoon, the Foster City Police Department held a badge pinning ceremony to recognize new members and staff promotions, with each employee being pinned by a family member in attendance. Our Police Department remains committed to providing excellent service to the community, and yesterday's ceremony served as a promising reminder of that goal.
