  • 🌧️ Stormwater 101: Why It Matters & What You Can Do! 🌍 Ever wondered where all that rainwater goes? It’s not just about getting wet—it’s about stormwater! Join us for a quick dive into what stormwater is, why it’s important, and how YOU can help! 💧What is Stormwater? It’s the rain that runs off our streets, roofs, and yards, flowing into storm drains and eventually our rivers and oceans. 🚯 Why It Matters? Pollutants like trash, oil, and chemicals hitch a ride with stormwater, harming wildlife and even contaminating our drinking water. 🏙️ Urbanization & The Problem Concrete everywhere makes it tough for rain to soak into the ground. More runoff means more flooding and erosion. 🌿 How You Can Help - Plant a rain garden - Use rain barrels - Clean up litter! 📞 Have Questions or Spot Pollution? Contact us at our Water Quality Hotline to report any issues or learn more about pollution prevention: waterquality@vista.gov or (760) 643-2804 Together, we can make a difference! Let's keep our waterways clean. 🌊💙

  • As we welcome 2025, the City of Vista encourages everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly. 🎆✨ May the new year bring you happiness, new opportunities, and a fresh start. Wishing you all a prosperous and safe year ahead!
