We’re incredibly proud that our Washington-based brand, Sturtevant's, had the opportunity to be part of something truly special—Spree-Haw 2025, the 28th annual fundraiser for the Outdoors for All Foundation! This epic event brought together a passionate community of outdoor enthusiasts and advocates, all in support of a powerful mission: enriching the lives of children and adults with disabilities through inclusive outdoor recreation. As part of the celebration, our team offered live on-mountain demos, giving participants a taste of the gear and excitement we love sharing year-round. We’re thrilled to share that Outdoors for All surpassed their fundraising goal, raising an impressive $182,000 to support their programs. It’s always inspiring to see the impact that can happen when community, purpose, and passion collide. At Sturtevant's, we believe deeply in the power of the outdoors to transform lives—and we’re honored to continue partnering with organizations like Outdoors for All who make that possible for everyone. Here’s to more adventures, more access, and more lives changed on the mountain. 🏔️💙

We're excited to share that Christy Sports has been featured in Muscle & Fitness's article by SJ McShane on preventing skiing injuries and enhancing slope performance. Our team at the Arvada store provided expert advice on preparing for backcountry winter sports. Manager Jonah Drescher emphasized the importance of setting realistic goals, engaging in pre-season training, and finding experienced mentors to ensure safety and enjoyment. He also highlighted the mental and physical benefits of these activities, noting that backcountry skiing offers a rejuvenating experience that challenges both body and mind. For those new to the sport, Jonah recommends starting with leg and core strengthening exercises, balance training, and taking avalanche safety courses. Huge thank you to FOX31 KDVR / Channel 2 KWGN for inviting our very own Jonah Drescher to share his insider tips on enjoying the last few rides of the season! He brought in some of our latest gear, including the beloved kid's shark helmet, which one of the anchors wanted to wear, as well as wider skis for slushier snow. Here are some of his Spring Skiing pointers: —Time It Right – Ski early in the day before the snow turns too slushy in the afternoon. —Gear Adjustments – Use wider skis for stability in softer snow; wear layers that are easy to shed. —Wax Matters – Apply warm-weather ski wax to reduce friction on wet snow. —Stick to Groomers Early, Slush Later – Hardpack in the morning, slush bumps in the afternoon. —Stay Hydrated & Wear Sunscreen – Spring sun is intense, and dehydration sneaks up fast. Thanks to the anchors: Ken Clark, Spencer Thomas, Genelle Padilla Patacsil, and Kylie Bearse!

Planning a budget-friendly last-minute spring break ski trip? Marina Kuperman Villatoro, Travel Experta blogger, suggests bundling lift tickets, rentals, and lessons to maximize savings. For more cost-effective options, consider booking in advance and exploring package deals. At Christy Sports, we offer equipment rentals and expert advice to ensure your ski adventure is both enjoyable and economical. Here are some of her expert tips on making the most of your trip: —Ski during off-peak times: The busiest times are usually between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. If you arrive early (right when the slopes open) or ski later in the afternoon, you’ll notice a big difference. —Choose weekdays: If possible, avoid weekends. Mondays through Thursdays are much quieter and have shorter lines. —Use priority passes: Some resorts offer special passes that allow you to skip the lines.
