About us
Our team of experienced facilitators and consultants have supported hundreds of organizations and institutions as their thinking, training, and resource partner in the areas of leadership, team-building, diversity, and inclusion. Here at Chisa Marie Consulting, we are real people who have real (sometimes hard and uncomfortable) conversations in hopes of sparking real change. When you work with us, you are choosing a dynamic team of movers and shakers on a mission to change the way we approach systems of thought no longer serving us today. Despite the increasing distractions we face in the fast-paced modern world, we believe in the power of truth and the power of people. We work to help people understand that change begins when we leave our comfort zone. At Chisa Marie Consulting, we know leadership and culture are key. That’s why we promote conscious leadership practices that are rooted in resilience and courage. It’s why we work to facilitate conversations about inclusion and diversity. We know that awareness and truth can be hard to face, but we recognize that the only way to get to the other side is to do the work. Our team of facilitators and consultants deliver more than resources in the areas of leadership, team-building, diversity, and inclusion. At Chisa Marie Consulting, we deliver an experience. We are here to talk with you, not at you. Our goal is to inspire change by having intentional conversations that spark thought. We are driven by infectious passion and are here to offer an inspiring perspective for a better tomorrow. Start the conversation today. Let’s go on this journey together.

Defined: stereotyping, prejudicial attitudes, discriminatory behavior, and social oppression toward people with disabilities to inhibit the rights and well-being of people with disabilities, which is currently the largest minority group in the United States (APA, 2021b; Bogart & Dunn, 2019). Understanding the concept of ableism, and how it manifests in language choices, is critical for researchers who focus on marginalized groups such as the autistic community. #AbleismAwareness #DisabilityRights #InclusionMatters #EndAbleism #AbleismEducation #EqualityForAll #DiversityandInclusion #MarginalizedVoices

Inclusive Language: the offensive term “gypped” is derived from “gypsy,” connected to the racial stereotype that Romani people are swindlers. Suggested alternative: to get ripped off. #InclusiveLanguage #RacialStereotypes #RomaniCulture #SocialJustice #LanguageMatters #EndRacism #DiversityandInclusion #EducateYourself #WordsMatter

Defined: people use the term BIPOC to acknowledge that not all people of color face equal levels of injustice. The construction of the term “BIPOC” recognizes that Black and Indigenous people are severely impacted by systemic racial injustices. The term BIPOC is still considered by many to indicate a hierarchy among communities of color. Instead of BIPOC, the preferred term(s) to use are “people/persons of color” and “communities of color.” #BIPOC #PeopleOfColor #CommunitiesOfColor #EqualityForAll #DiversityAndInclusion
