I’m incredibly proud to share the renovations of the 2nd and 3rd floors of Lesley University's Sherrill Hall, a project that represents our commitment to enhancing the Lesley University experience. These beautifully reimagined spaces are more than just physical upgrades; they are places where our community can come together, find moments of relaxation, and build long-lasting connections. This transformation wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work, dedication, and collaboration with my colleagues and our contractor partners. Their attention to detail and passion for creating an inviting and functional space shine through in every corner of these floors. It’s inspiring to see how teamwork and a shared vision can result in something so impactful for our students, faculty, and staff. Whether folks are looking for a quiet space to recharge or a welcoming environment to foster new relationships, they will be presented with a unique experience on campus. A concept for the design of the New Canaan Library was to create indoor and outdoor spaces that would appeal to all ages, thus making it a true community gathering place. The children’s library and its adjacent garden are case in point. The library is flooded with sunlight, with furniture scaled for little ones, soft seating, and bright colors. Outside, the children’s garden is where kids get their hands dirty with programming for budding horticulturalists.

A sure sign of spring – Centerbrook’s moss garden returns! This pint-sized paradise nestled between our buildings was restored by gardener and plantsman Keith Rustemeyer. We look forward to tending it with care in the coming months.

Centerbrook is inspired to design for institutions that interpret history, culture, and science. The Fairbanks House Museum in Dedham, MA is home to North America’s oldest timber frame structure. Built circa 1637, eight generations of the Fairbanks family lived there. Today, it educates visitors about the past to impact their futures.
