About us
Center for Sustainable Energy® (CSE) is a national nonprofit that accelerates adoption of clean transportation and distributed energy through effective and equitable program design and administration. Governments, utilities and the private sector trust CSE for its data-driven and software-enabled approach, deep domain expertise and customer-focused team. CSE works in over a dozen states that are home to a third of all Americans. We effectively, efficiently and equitably launch, manage and optimize incentive programs valued at over $4 billion including: • The largest, longest-running EV incentive program in the U.S. • The largest statewide EV charging infrastructure program in the U.S. • The largest solar program for multifamily affordable housing in the U.S. CSE’s fee-for-service business model frees it from the influence of shareholders, members and donors, and ensures its independence. Our vision is a future with sustainable, equitable and resilient transportation, buildings and communities.

We are proud to continue our work with the San Diego Solar Equity Program, which brings no-cost solar systems to families who need them most. Last week, we joined San Diego Gas & Electric and The City of San Diego to celebrate a local family whose lives have been transformed through SDSEP — a program with a mission to deliver clean, affordable energy across the City of San Diego. CSE administers the program. Now in its third year, the program has already installed 89 solar systems, with a goal of reaching 300 households. Funding is available now. Learn more about the program here: sdsolarequity.org. #EnergyEquity #CleanEnergy #SolarPower
For a local family in Lomita, flood damage in 2024 made their finances tight. Thanks to the San Diego Solar Equity Program, they have received a no-cost solar system, cutting their energy bills by $200 a month and allowing them to improve their home and quality of life. ☀️ This week, we came together with The City of San Diego and the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) to celebrate bringing clean, affordable energy to families who need it most. Now in its third year, the program has installed 89 solar systems, with a goal of reaching 300 households. We remain committed to energy equity and expanding access to clean power for all San Diegans. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gfABbizn
