While the groups share similar optimism, there is a significant difference in adoption, with 63% (+12% YOY) of K12 teachers or their school districts incorporating GenAI technology into their teaching process compared to 49% (+5% YoY) of HED instructors. AI is rapidly transforming higher education, but many institutions are not using its potential to prepare students for the workforce. According to our 2024 Employability Report, 55% of graduates said their educational programs did not prepare them to use GenAI tools. "To meet demand both from students and employers, institutions must evolve curricula to prepare and upskill learners for an AI-focused workforce," says our CEO, Michael Hansen. Our National Geographic Learning ELT team recently attended the TESOL International Association 2025 International Convention & Expo, the largest in-person professional development event in the English language teaching field. The weeklong event attracted thousands of attendees and included hundreds of interactive education sessions, over 60 exhibits and networking opportunities. Victor Zea Diaz, National Geographic Explorer, kicked off the event with a thought-provoking keynote, “Hip Hop: A Powerful Tool for Language Learning and Revitalization.” Caitlin Driscoll Thomas Senior Manager of Product Marketing, proudly followed up by presenting the Teacher of the Year Award to Osman Solmaz from Turkey. Sebastian Andino, Senior Marketing Manager ELT US K12, added that the event was a success, with lots of traffic at the NGL booth where he was thrilled to showcase our US K12 solutions to customers. #NGL #ELT #TESOL

The team rallied together in to raise awareness, proudly wearing fun and brightly colored socks as part of the WDSD tradition. 🧦 Logan's journey with us began in 2014 through the Project SEARCH, a collaboration between Boone County Schools, Cengage Group, and Easterseals. This program empowers young people with disabilities, preparing them for success in competitive integrated employment. After completing the Project Search program 1️⃣0️⃣ years ago, Logan became a valued full-time member of our Cengage Group team.
