Reflecting on an Incredible Experience at NAHQ ThinQ Tank Last week, I had the privilege of joining an exclusive group of healthcare’s top leaders, innovators, and changemakers at the second annual NAHQ ThinQ Tank in Orlando, Florida. It was an inspiring two days filled with bold ideas, critical discussions, and a shared commitment to advancing Healthcare Quality & Safety. The conversations were powerful. We tackled some of the most pressing challenges in healthcare—how to drive efficiencies, reduce harm, and create sustainable solutions. One key takeaway? Quality & Safety isn’t just a checkbox—it’s a strategic advantage. NAHQ’s latest data reinforced that investing in a coordinated, competent quality workforce leads to measurable impact at the bedside, on the balance sheet, and in workforce engagement. Beyond the discussions, what stood out most was the collective energy in the room. There was a strong sense of urgency, but also optimism. Leaders across the industry came together not just to talk about change—but to take action. As someone passionate about advancing healthcare, I left ThinQ Tank feeling energized and ready to help make the case for Quality. A huge thank you to NAHQ for convening such an exceptional group of leaders and driving this critical conversation forward. While this marks the final feature of the month, the work toward inclusivity and equity continues every day. Through meaningful conversations and intentional action, we take steps toward a more inclusive and equitable healthcare system. For Dr. Ogula, Black History Month is an opportunity to reflect on the contributions and perseverance of Black professionals in medicine—both past and present.
