Today, our Stroke Support Group at St. Catherine’s West Rehabilitation Hospital gathered to discuss the Role of Nutrition in Stroke Recovery & Prevention. Proper nutrition plays a vital role in brain health, helping survivors regain strength and reduce future risks. A special thank you to our experts - Samantha Mendes, Dietitian; Melanie Devino, Clinical Nutrition Regional Manager; and Melissa S. Colquhoun, Food and Nutritional Services Director - for sharing their valuable insights. We also appreciate our attendees for their engagement and commitment to wellness. Last but not least, we extend our gratitude to our partners, Larkin Community Hospital and Palmetto General Hospital, for their ongoing support of our monthly Stroke Support Groups.
