📹Minister John O'Dowd visited Warrenpoint Banking Hub this morning, which offers a shared banking space and access to cash for customers of all major banks and building societies. Minister O’Dowd spoke with staff at the hub and saw first-hand how the services it provides support the local community. He also pressed on Cash Access UK for the roll-out of these hubs for other areas impacted by branch closures.

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Jonathan Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for Business and Trade, along with MP Tom Rutland and local councillors, to our Banking Hub in Shoreham-by-Sea! They spent time with Paul, the Banking Hub Operator, learning about the vital services our hubs provide and how they make a difference to the local community. It was fantastic to see such strong interest in the role of banking hubs and how they help to ensure everyone has access to cash and essential banking services.
What a week at Cash Access UK! 🎉 This week, we’ve opened 13 new banking hubs, bringing our total to 128 hubs across the country! An incredible 11 of these opened on Wednesday alone, marking our biggest single-day achievement yet. That takes us to a total of 128 hubs across the country, bringing cash and essential banking services to the communities that need them most. Under the new FCA access to cash regulations, when a community requests an access to cash review and LINK Scheme Ltd recommend a banking hub, we have just three months to deliver these! ⏳ Our team do an absolutely amazing job in bringing these services to communities in such a short space of time. We set these up in temporary locations, allowing people to access cash and essential banking services as soon as possible, while we work on securing a long-term premises. 📸 Check out some of our newest hubs below!

Recent research we carried out in two of our earliest hub communities shows: 🔹 Businesses are saving time and money by depositing cash locally, avoiding long trips to bank branches. 🔹 Customers who use our hubs spend 71% more on the high street, helping to sustain local shops and services.
